If you’re promoting changes to women’s behavior to “prevent” rape, you’re really saying “make sure he rapes the other girl.”
I always felt uneasy and baffled by rape prevention articles and now I know why.
Are you people fucking kidding me? Is this real? It’s not “rape the other girl”. It’s “all women need to be acutely aware that, sadly, rapists exist and we must be careful”.
you know, I know everyone feels special on a soapbox but you’re actually telling girls not to acknowledge that sex crimes happen and that maybe putting yourself in positions where it may happen should be avoided.
There is no “other girl”. Those messages - the legitimate ones (not the morons who say stuff like ‘don’t dress like a slut!’ I mean real messages from people who are really concerned) - are for ALL GIRLS.
I would say that a 14(?) year old and a 20 year old probably don’t have a lot to talk about with each other.

PEOPLE DO NOT UNDERSTAND HOW AMAZING THIS COMPLIMENT IS
Yes, yes I can. Three things first, though.
1) this was taken with an ipad. Horrible quality but I tried to get the most unbiased and clean picture I could.
2) I DID NOT SAY I LOOK LIKE JENNIFER LAWRENCE, MY LOVELY MAMA DID. so… Yeah.3) the pictures will be in a second post because I can’t get my ipad to do it for some reason here.
My mom just barged into my room and was like, “YOU HAVE TO COME OUT HEERE AND LOOK AT THIS ACTRESS. SHE LOOKS JUST LIKE YOU. IT’S SO FREAKY.”
I went out and she was watching The Silverlinings Playbook or something?
She meant Jennifer Lawrence. As I’m watching she just keeps like, “Look at the eyes! And the mouth! This is so weird. It’s like I’m watching you. It’s so eerie…”
Thank you, mom. Thank you.
